ServiceNOW Developer (Contract)

We are recruiting two ServiceNow Developers for a long term engagement with one of our clients, one senior profile and one mid level profile.

* Senior Developer with 5 to 8 years of experience
* Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience

Both roles require strong hands on experience across Integration, Service Catalogue, HRSD and ITSM.

This role sits in a high security environment, so please read the clearance requirements carefully.

Role summary

You will be responsible for designing, building, testing and operationalising ServiceNow solutions across a complex enterprise environment. You will work independently, contribute actively to team discussions and quickly become a subject matter expert. This role requires advanced ServiceNow capability, with ServiceNow Integration Hub experience highly recommended.

You must already hold NV1 Security Clearance, and you must be an Australian Citizen. Candidates who do not meet both of these requirements will not be considered.

Key responsibilities

* Design and develop ServiceNow applications and modules
* Configure workflows, business rules, script includes, UI policies and client scripts
* Develop and enhance integrations using JavaScript, Glide API, REST and SOAP
* Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third party systems
* Perform platform upgrades and patching to maintain security and performance
* Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform issues
* Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
* Conduct unit testing, system testing and support UAT
* Create and maintain technical documentation, design specs and user guides
* Contribute solutions to technical problems and participate actively in team discussions

Additional experience that will be highly regarded

* Discovery experience, both horizontal and top down
* Service Mapping experience
* Understanding of network, infrastructure, cloud environments including AWS, Azure and GCP
* Experience with MID Server configuration and troubleshooting
* Exposure to hybrid enterprise environments

Required skills and experience

* Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, Consultant or Administrator
* Strong ServiceNow scripting capability
* Experience building integrations using REST, SOAP and Web Services
* Experience with ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, HAM or SAM is highly preferred
* Solid understanding of ITIL best practices
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders
