Service Desk Officer – Day Shift

We are seeking a customer-focused Service Desk Officer to join a busy IT support environment, providing Level 1-2 support across a range of users and systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, delivering great service, and working in a structured, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1-2 IT support, managing incidents and service requests via phone and email
- Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring a positive user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktop applications and standard software
- Log, track and update all incidents and requests within a ticketing system
- Take ownership of tickets through to resolution, including escalation where required
- Keep users informed on progress and expected resolution timeframes
- Perform user administration and general support tasks accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve issues
- Ensure all activities meet agreed SLAs, KPIs and service standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles
About You
- Previous experience in a Service Desk or IT support role (Level 1-2)
- Strong customer service skills with clear communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using ticketing/call management systems
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- A team player who collaborates well with others
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Understanding of confidentiality and handling sensitive information
