Service Desk Officer – Day Shift

We are seeking a customer-focused Service Desk Officer to join a busy IT support environment, providing Level 1-2 support across a range of users and systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, delivering great service, and working in a structured, team-oriented setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1-2 IT support, managing incidents and service requests via phone and email
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring a positive user experience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktop applications and standard software
  • Log, track and update all incidents and requests within a ticketing system
  • Take ownership of tickets through to resolution, including escalation where required
  • Keep users informed on progress and expected resolution timeframes
  • Perform user administration and general support tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve issues
  • Ensure all activities meet agreed SLAs, KPIs and service standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles

About You

  • Previous experience in a Service Desk or IT support role (Level 1-2)
  • Strong customer service skills with clear communication (written and verbal)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using ticketing/call management systems
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A team player who collaborates well with others
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Understanding of confidentiality and handling sensitive information
