The Role

A leading telecommunications organisation is seeking a Service Desk Analyst for a 12-month contract, based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity for early-career IT professionals or graduates with 1+ years’ help desk experience and foundational networking knowledge.

You’ll join a 24/7 shift-based team, following a 4 days on / 4 days off roster, with 80% onsite work. The role starts with 2-3 weeks of comprehensive training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for critical infrastructure.
  • Monitor alerts and respond to incidents in line with SLAs.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Document incidents and contribute to a central knowledge base.

About You

  • 1+ year experience in a service desk, helpdesk or NOC setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, customer-first approach.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and ITIL practices.
  • Comfortable with shift work, including weekends and nights.
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in IT or related field preferred.
