Are you a customer-focused professional with a passion for delivering exceptional support services? We are seeking a proactive and solutions-driven Service Centre Support Officer to provide frontline support to finance staff across this leading University.

You will be supporting the finance functions and be the first point of contact for finance-related enquiries, ensuring efficient, professional, and customer-centric service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 frontline support via phone, online portal, face-to-face, chat, and other channels as required.
  • Log, update, resolve and/or escalate incidents and service requests in line with SLAs.
  • Take ownership of finance staff enquiries at first contact, ensuring effective resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver accurate and detailed advice to support finance-related queries.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to provide consistent and accurate responses to the University community.
  • Identify and contribute to service and process improvement initiatives.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience delivering professional customer service to finance groups or shared services environment.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence.
  • Proven ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and provide logical, well-informed advice.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capability, with the ability to manage complex enquiries.
  • Experience providing accurate and timely advice across multiple contact channels (phone, ticketing systems, chat, etc.).
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • Previous experience supporting finance applications, particularly Workday and/or ADP Payroll highly regarded
