Senior Utimaco LIMS Consultant, 6 to 12 Month Contract

The Opportunity

We’re partnering with an innovative Australian technology consultancy that delivers specialist digital, cyber and laboratory solutions to a select portfolio of enterprise and government customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Despite being a boutique organisation, the business has established long term relationships with several major clients and is continuing to expand its footprint through investment in AI enabled technology and new solution offerings. This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, where you’ll have genuine influence over both technical direction and future growth.

With the current consultant having recently moved on, they’re looking to secure an experienced Utimaco LIMS specialist as soon as possible. While an immediate start would be ideal, they’re happy to wait for the right person.

This is initially offered as a 6 to 12 month contract, with strong potential for extension or the opportunity to transition into a longer term role if desired.

The Role

You’ll be the technical subject matter expert for Utimaco LIMS, working closely with clients to provide implementation, support and technical guidance across a range of laboratory environments.

This is far more than a typical support role. You’ll have direct client engagement, influence over technical strategy and the opportunity to shape how the practice evolves as the business continues to grow. For someone who enjoys ownership and autonomy, there is significant scope to broaden the role over time and potentially build and mentor a team as the practice expands.

The role is fully remote, however contractors will need to be based in NSW. You’ll also support customers across both Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the technical SME for Utimaco LIMS across multiple client environments.
* Provide implementation, configuration, support and technical consulting services.
* Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance.
* Contribute to product and service improvements as the business continues to grow.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.

About You

* Strong commercial experience with Utimaco LIMS is essential.
* Confident working directly with customers and presenting technical solutions.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Self motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote environment.
* Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
