Senior Test Lead/Manager

This large government body is seeking an experienced Senior Test Lead to play a critical role in a large-scale, enterprise-wide Microsoft transformation program.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the end-to-end testing strategy across multiple workstreams, vendors, and delivery teams. You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, ensuring testing is planned, coordinated, and executed effectively across a complex hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end testing approach across multiple streams within a large enterprise program
  • Define and own the overall test strategy, standards, and governance
  • Develop and manage the master test schedule, dependencies, and milestones
  • Coordinate testing activities across vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on leadership for complex, high-risk, or business-critical testing phases
  • Establish and lead automated testing capability, including tooling, frameworks, and ways of working
  • Ensure testing supports broader program outcomes, risk management, and quality objectives

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive Test Leadership or Test Management experience on large, complex technology programs
  • Strong background in enterprise platforms, including; Cloud and SaaS solutions, Identity and access management, Data platforms and integrations etc
  • Proven ability to work strategically and hands-on in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery environment
  • Experience coordinating testing across multiple vendors and delivery partners
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders while remaining closely connected to delivery teams and outcomes
