Seeking a Senior Test Analyst with strong Playwright expertise to design and build automation frameworks from scratch. The role focuses on cross-browser testing, mobile and tablet emulation, CI/CD integration, and delivering scalable end-to-end automated testing solutions across complex digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Test planning, which includes collaboration with project team members (architect, developers, data analysts, product owner, business analyst and other project delivery stakeholders) to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and testing needs and create comprehensive test cases.
- Design and implement a Playwright-based automation framework for the front-end web portal
- Test automation development, including the design, development and maintenance of automated and manual test scripts.
- Develop reusable page objects, selectors and test templates to ensure maintainability by non-technical Assurance team members.
- Set up cross-browser testing across major browser engines (Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
- Implement device emulation including Mobile (iPhone/Android), Tablet/iPad, small laptop screens & Touch interactions (tap, swipe, scroll)
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for execution on commits, pull requests and scheduled runs
- Test execution both manual and automated, analysing of results and reporting on defects and issues.
- Create and regularly update and maintain test scripts to ensure they are effective and up to date with the latest software changes.
- Input into Test Summary Reports (TSR) and sprint test status updates, demonstrating test coverage, residual defects and overall quality reporting.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process through new tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Identification of test prerequisites and test risks early to accommodate fulfilment and mitigation.
- Raise defects with required evidence, participate in triage meetings and provide relevant support to fix team to get these resolved.
- Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities and including test execution.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the business needs across the OECD and work with representatives and key stakeholders to determine timeframes and priorities.
- Report on progress of assigned tasks and identify and communicate risks and issues as they arise and work collaboratively to mitigate or resolve them respectively.
- Consistently demonstrate integrity, honesty, fairness, impartiality and commitment to values-based leadership.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience undertaking end-to-end system testing and quality assurance activities, including unit, system, integration, and UAT
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation
- Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up
- Demonstrated experience in front-end automation testing, including cross-browser and device testing
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Experienced in defining and executing test strategies and plans that reduced duplicate effort, aligned with an automation first mindset, and delivered reusable test artefacts for both functional and non-functional tests.
- Experience with Azure cloud platforms.
- Detailed understanding of contemporary testing methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of Agile methodology and the ability to participate in key ceremonies.
- Proven experience working within large complex environments.
- Commercially sound with strong communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Communicates orally and in writing in a manner that is clear, fluent and holds the audience’s attention and prepares and delivers logical, sequential and succinct presentations.
- Highly developed time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously while setting clearly defined objectives and priorities, reviewing and adjusting as required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A keen sense of initiative by being a self-starter, with a proactive approach to tasks and collaborations.
- Extensive experiences in building trusting and collaborative relationships with internal and Trusted external stakeholders to effectively influence and negotiate; and
- Must have or be able to obtain a Department for Human Services issued Working with Children Check.
