Federal Government, ACT | Digital Modernisation & ICT Reform | Complex ICT Programs

  • Location: Canberra, ACT
  • Security Clearance: Baseline Cleared (Mandatory)
  • Contract Length: 8 months + 12 months extension (Based on the Department’s discretion)

Our client is seeking an experienced ‘Senior Business Analyst’ to support the delivery of its ICT modernisation agenda. This role will see you working across complex, high-value transformation programs, driving business analysis activities that underpin strategic ICT outcomes.

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Lead business and technical stakeholder engagements to gather and analyse requirements for ICT-enabled projects.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, BPMN process models, functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
  • Drive backlog management to ensure consistent flow of development work.
  • Collaborate with architects, testers, and developers to translate business needs into effective solution design and delivered outcomes.
  • Conduct current state and future state analysis of business processes and system interactions.
  • Define acceptance criteria and support UAT planning and execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within project delivery teams.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong expertise as a Business Analyst across the full project lifecycle alongside Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proven track record delivering business analysis on large-scale ICT transformation programs.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Understanding or working knowledge of Parliamentary processes and the institution of Parliament.
