Senior Control Systems Engineer

Airport Location (Sydney) | 1 Day WFH

$150k + Super

We’re partnering with a leading automation and control systems integrator to recruit a Senior Control Systems Engineer for a long-term, site-based role at a major airport location.

The focus is on strong senior engineers with deep technical capability in Siemens TIA Portal and Ignition.

The Role

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the delivery and support of complex automation systems in a live operational environment. You’ll be hands-on technically, while also providing guidance to junior engineers and working closely with stakeholders on site.

This is a stable, long-term opportunity with flexibility, technical depth, and exposure to critical infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and commission control systems using Siemens TIA Portal
  • Develop and support Ignition SCADA applications
  • Work across PLC, SCADA, and industrial networks
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
  • Support upgrades, fault finding, and optimisation in a live environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Senior-level experience in industrial automation or control systems
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal (essential)
  • Strong Ignition SCADA experience (essential)
  • Background in infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Australian work rights
