The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing operational support and guidance to customers and staff in all environments ensuring systems and hardware operate in a manner that meets business needs. You will be responsible for maximising service uptime, maintaining backups/replication, identifying, trouble shooting and resolving systems problems, ensuring timely recovery of services, and carrying out maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage access to Azure with role-based access control (RBAC) and Entra ID roles.
  • Manage Azure B2C tenants.
  • Manage Entra ID App Registrations.
  • Manage Azure resource logging through use of Log Analytics and Event Hub.
  • Implement and manage storage accounts, including blob, file, and disk storage.
  • Follow best practices for maintaining enterprise-grade security posture in Azure.
  • Configure and manage devices using Microsoft Intune, including Windows Autopilot for device provisioning.
  • Apply app protection and conditional access policies through Azure AD
  • Install, configure, and ensure effective administration of systems and hardware including physical and virtual server environments.
  • Provide recommendations for the procurement of IT equipment and support subcontractors involved with installation.
  • Maximise IT performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting. With a variety of cloud-native solutions.
  • Create and verify backups of data.
  • Review application logs to identify/resolve faults.
  • Undertake scheduled upgrades and maintenance work.
  • Investigate faults in the system and ensure timely recovery of services.
  • Report IT service status to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare required documentation to enable other team members.
  • Assist with the development and management of the Disaster Recovery (DR) plan.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the design, resilience, or capabilities of IT systems.
  • Self-develop technology and cloud related knowledge to ensure awareness of cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • High level understanding and application of Public Cloud solutions using Azure and AWS
  • High level understanding of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, IIS, VMware, SQL Server.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code toolsets and exposure to DevOps style approaches (desirable).
  • Customer Service Skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary level qualifications in IT or related discipline (desirable).
  • ITIL, Cisco and/or Microsoft Certification (desirable).
