Senior System Administrator

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, manage and support enterprise ICT infrastructure across physical, virtual, network and cloud environments. This role works closely with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant and resilient digital services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and direction to vendors delivering professional services

  • Support the design, build and implementation of new ICT and business solutions

  • Collaborate with business users and system administrators to optimise systems and services

  • Diagnose and resolve operational and technical issues across complex environments

  • Contribute to system design, configuration planning and implementation documentation

  • Identify and escalate risks, dependencies and quality issues throughout delivery

  • Ensure compliance with ICT policies, standards and security requirements

  • Work effectively in a small specialist team environment

  • Share knowledge through mentoring, coaching and skills transfer

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with organisational requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience designing and deploying complex ICT infrastructure in enterprise or government environments

  • Strong background across systems design, installation, removal and problem management

  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle in collaborative teams

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and contemporary ICT practices

Technical Skills (Desirable)

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (On-Prem)

  • Microsoft SharePoint, SQL Server, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux

  • VMware virtualisation

  • Network fundamentals

  • Cross-domain or multi-domain solutions experience
