A significant player in Australia’s energy industry is seeking to engage a Senior Stakeholder Advisor who will be responsible for developing and delivering externally-facing stakeholder engagement and communications plans, facilitating consultations around priority business or industry topics, and building strong stakeholder relationships to enhance shared understanding and trust.

Key Role Deliverables & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of engagement and communications plans, and related communications materials, for key consumer, community, and corporate initiatives
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and manage consultations effectively
  • Develop plans for emerging issues and coordinate delivery
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering quality advice and challenging norms
  • Identify and escalate strategic engagement issues
  • Share stakeholder trends and insights with relevant teams

Key Requirements

  • Solid experience in stakeholder engagement and/or corporate communications, ideally in complex or regulated industries (energy or utilities experience is desirable)
  • Proven ability to translate complex policy, technical or reform issues into simple and clear messaging that meets audience needs
  • Strong understanding of the energy sector, including regulatory, legal and political contexts
  • Experience leading stakeholder engagement plans, including risk, messaging and feedback processes
