About the Position:
Some architecture roles focus on designing technology.
This one focuses on shaping the future operating model of an entire government ecosystem.
You’ll provide solution architecture leadership across a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation, helping define how technology, business processes and security come together to deliver long-term outcomes. From approach-to-market through to implementation and transition, you’ll influence the architectural direction of one of the organisation’s largest digital transformation initiatives.
Working alongside senior business leaders, architects, vendors and delivery teams, you’ll translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure and sustainable platform solutions that support finance, procurement, human resources, payroll, asset management and shared services.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture across a large-scale ERP transformation, aligning technology decisions with strategic business outcomes.
- Define architecture standards, integration patterns, security controls and technology roadmaps that support long-term platform capability.
- Provide architectural governance across solution design, implementation planning, migration strategies and transition to operations.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and technology vendors to ensure architecture supports sustainable business transformation.
What We Are Looking For:
- Extensive experience delivering solution architecture across large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong background designing solutions across ERP, integration, cloud and enterprise application environments.
- Experience balancing business requirements, security, governance and technology strategy to deliver scalable architectural outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, vendors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

A Quick Note Before You Apply:
This role is unlikely to suit solution architects whose experience has been limited to designing individual applications or technology components without broader ownership of enterprise transformation and architecture governance.
Success in this role comes from balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery, bringing together business, technology, security and operational considerations to shape solutions that support long-term organisational change
This is a hybrid Canberra-based engagement supporting a major transformation program. While a security clearance is not required, experience delivering architecture within complex government or enterprise environments will be highly regarded.
