Our client is a unique government agency which works closely with a range of national and international partners to create connections and gather information to protect Australia from serious threats. They deliver information-sharing solutions at the state, territory and federal levels to ensure that essential information is available to all law enforcement agencies across Australia

The Role

We are looking for multiple Senior Software Engineers to work on high-impact national platforms that support critical services across Australia. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing complex systems within a secure and collaborative environment.

Your duties will include:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining core system components
  • Building and enhancing applications aligned to business requirements
  • Performing code reviews, testing and system improvements
  • Supporting system integration and transition activities
  • Collaborating with project and business teams to deliver outcomes

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in Java and JEE frameworks
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Front-end development experience (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, TypeScript)
  • Experience working in Agile or waterfall project environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience integrating third-party or off-the-shelf solutions
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
