About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAS Developer to play a key role in delivering high-quality data solutions that support critical decision-making. Working within a large-scale, data-driven environment, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of complex data pipelines and reporting solutions, ensuring accuracy, performance, and compliance across all outputs.
Your duties will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining SAS-based data solutions
- Writing and optimising SAS code for performance and efficiency
- Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Ensuring compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards
- Producing clear documentation for data processes and workflows
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Strong experience with SAS tools including Base, Macro, and SAS/SQL
- Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and perform advanced data manipulation
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience in data analytics or reporting environments
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience within government or large-scale organisations (highly regarded)
