Our client is an ASX listed technology company, delivering cutting-edge technology around the world. Due to a busy period, they require a Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team.

  • 6 month contract
  • Daily rates negotiable – will consider Senior or Mid-Level applicants
  • South Melbourne location, flexible hybrid working environment

The Senior QA Analyst is responsible for the development and quality of the client’s future and existing technology products. This position will focus on testing for edge technology solutions, and will involve testing for hardware and embedded software, and web-based applications and back-end microservices and API’s, and will include automation and manual testing.

Responsibilities

  • Be a collaborative, active and positive member of the Edge Engineering, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and alignment with company values
  • Drive requirements analysis and drive test strategy creation, ensuring comprehensive coverage through detailed, risk-based test cases and procedures derived from requirement specifications
  • Champion and perform both manual and automation testing within sprints, while identifying opportunities to optimise and expand automation coverage
  • Define, monitor, and enforce quality metrics and KPIs to ensure all product releases meet or exceed defined quality goals
  • Partner closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure end-to-end traceability from business requirements to verified deliverables
  • Creation and maintenance of test cases, test plans, test data, and defect documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
  • Perform system integration, functional, volume, user interface, regression, and performance testing on modifications and enhancements prior to production release, using both manual and automated techniques
  • Design, create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability
  • Analyse the results of automated test executions, identify the root cause of failures, and make necessary modifications to ensure long-term stability

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Strong manual and automation testing experience
  • Experience in testing and automating C, C++, C# is must
  • Experience and knowledge around testing Edge Technology, hardware, embedded systems for computers, cameras, sensors, etc or similar
  • Ability to conduct functional testing, regression testing, system-level integration testing, end-to end testing and acceptance testing
  • Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Well-developed verbal, listening, comprehension and written communication skills
  • Experience with Selenium or Playwright for automation testing
  • Solid Agile experience, excellent team work, and ability to deliver to project deadlines
