Senior QA Analyst

Join a leading financial services organisation undergoing significant technology and digital transformation.

This role goes beyond traditional quality assurance. You will help improve quality across the full software development lifecycle, embedding testing, controls and quality standards earlier in the delivery process.

A key focus will be understanding how AI-assisted development and AI-generated code affect quality assurance. You will establish practical standards for testing and governing AI-generated code while identifying safe and valuable ways to use AI across test-case generation, defect analysis, automation and regression testing.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess and improve testing and quality practices across the end-to-end SDLC.
  • Establish practical test strategies, quality standards and release-readiness criteria.
  • Define how AI-assisted development and AI-generated code should be tested, reviewed and governed.
  • Identify safe opportunities to use AI for test-case generation, defect analysis, automation and regression testing.
  • Improve test automation and embed quality controls into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, security, product and delivery teams to promote ownership of quality.

What you will bring

  • Strong senior-level QA or quality engineering experience within a complex technology environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the end-to-end SDLC, shift-left testing and quality engineering practices.
  • Practical experience using AI tools within software development, testing or quality assurance.
  • Experience across automated, API, integration, regression and non-functional testing, along with CI/CD quality controls.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to influence and challenge established practices.

Experience in financial services or another similar environment would be an advantage.

You will bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset, balancing enthusiasm for emerging technology with practical risk judgement and the ability to turn new ideas into meaningful quality improvements.
