Senior Python Developer - Network Automation
An iconic Financial Services provider is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer with advanced Python scripting skills to join their team on a permanent basis.
Joining a dynamic, high-performing team, you will leverage your strong software design and data experience to drive automation in their complex network environment.
Responsibilities will include the design and architecture of automation code (multiprocessing and threading) as well as leading automation activities and initiatives and configuring their orchestration platform. You will also focus on writing test cases and coordinate testing to support the implementation of the code on their platforms.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
- Strong network engineering and automation experience gained within large, enterprise environments
- Advanced Python scripting skills with good knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Proven experience in the design and architecture of automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket etc as well as Cisco automation tools such as DevNet
- Knowledge and experience in data dashboarding, data digestion and data processing using tools such as Elastic Search
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and tools including Linux, Docker, Kubernetes
- Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work independently as required
