Senior Project Officer (x4) | Canberra, ACT | 36-Month Contract
We are seeking experienced Senior Project Officers to support the delivery of complex technology projects within a large federal government environment. This role will contribute to project planning, reporting, coordination, and governance to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned with established project management standards.

About the Role
The Senior Project Officer will support the operations of a project or program office and assist in delivering complex technology initiatives. Working closely with Project Managers and project teams, the role will help maintain project governance frameworks, coordinate reporting and documentation, and ensure project processes and standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle. The position plays an important role in supporting communication, coordination, and documentation across multiple project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans and schedules
- Maintain project documentation, reporting systems, and records
- Support project governance processes, standards, and methodologies
- Coordinate project reporting, including status, risks, and issues
- Organise project meetings, briefings, and documentation packs
- Maintain risk registers, issue logs, and change control records
- Liaise with project teams to support accurate reporting and coordination
- Support procurement activities and other administrative project tasks
Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting delivery of ICT or technology projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance
- Ability to maintain project documentation, reporting, and records
- Experience coordinating project meetings and stakeholder communication
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Project Management, Business, or ICT (desirable)
- PRINCE2, PMBOK, or similar project management certification (desirable)

- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting Level 1
