Senior Project Manager- Payroll Replacement

Our client is a leading organisation within the logistics industry, who are currently delivering a large-scale payroll and HR systems transformation. This program is well underway and entering an exciting delivery phase, with a go-live scheduled for next year. They require a Senior Project Manager to support them on a initial 12-month contract to successfully delivery this project.
This role requires strong collaboration with multiple internal teams and external delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of the Payroll / Workday transformation project through to go-live.
  • Manage project scope, budget (multi-million), risks, and timelines across multiple internal teams and external vendors.
  • Oversee partner delivery outcomes across Dayforce and Workday, ensuring alignment to project objectives.
  • Coordinate with adjacent programs and report progress to the overarching Portfolio Director.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery including design, integration, testing, cutover and business readiness.
  • Provide clear communication and reporting to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

About You

  • Melbourne-based with the ability to work flexibly across multiple sites.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Payroll or HCM system implementations, ideally including aPay / Dayforce and Workday.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Hands-on project leadership style with experience managing budgets exceeding $4 million.
  • Recognised project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) desirable.
