Talent has partnered with Wellington Water to build a team for a key programme of work that will ensure the technology systems underpinning the delivery of water services are primed for the future.

The Opportunity

Integral to this team will be a Senior Programme Coordinator, whose purpose is to lead and enhance the coordination services that support the IT transformation programme.

This is a two-year fixed-term contract that will work closely with the Programme Manager, Delivery Leads, and senior leadership.

In this role you will:

  • Help to set up or refine systems and processes that will support the overall success of the programme delivery.
  • Assist in the development of programme reporting tools and take ownership of ongoing reporting coordination.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor programme forecasts and budgets.
  • Proactively manage budgets, identifying and advising on risks to support seamless delivery.
  • Foster and drive ongoing positive communication within the team, across the wider organisation, and with key stakeholders to help take people on the journey of change.
  • Provide general team administrative support.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A senior level of experience in programme coordination, with evidence of supporting complex projects and/or large programmes of work.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communications skills – you can effortlessly read the room, build trust and bring people on a journey.
  • Strong numerical skills, with evidence of managing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability and confidence to advise on any issues at senior leadership level.
  • An organisational extraordinaire, with strong attention to detail.

For you no tasks are too big, or too small – from administrative support to budget oversight and implementing new systems. You excel at multitasking and thrive in ambiguity.

Wellington Water is the professional water services provider across Greater Wellington and South Wairarapa.
