Senior Procurement Officer
An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join a large-scale ICT transformation program delivering critical enterprise and operational improvements within a complex environment.
This role will play a key part in leading end-to-end procurement and commercial activities for a major enterprise platform implementation. You will be responsible for managing procurement strategy, tender processes, vendor engagement, contract negotiations, and governance activities across the full project lifecycle.
We are seeking a procurement professional with strong experience operating within government or highly regulated environments, ideally with demonstrated experience working across QITC and or GITC frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end ICT procurement and tender activities
- Develop procurement strategies aligned to governance and project objectives
- Prepare and manage RFP/RFQ/RFT documentation and evaluation processes
- Coordinate vendor evaluations, scoring workshops, and recommendations
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract finalisation activities
- Manage vendor performance, procurement risk, and compliance obligations
- Ensure procurement activities align with governance, probity, and assurance frameworks
- Prepare procurement and governance reporting documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven procurement and contract management experience within government or complex regulated environments
- Strong experience delivering ICT procurement activities and enterprise technology projects
- Demonstrated experience working with QITC and/or GITC contractual frameworks
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, probity, compliance, and assurance requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and negotiation capability
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
