About the Role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager and working within a specialist team, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic procurement initiatives across the department.

You will:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, governance frameworks and plans aligned to departmental and whole-of-government objectives

  • Provide high-level strategic advice to senior management on contemporary procurement issues

  • Oversee complex procurement submissions, reports, briefings and correspondence

  • Lead the development and review of procurement systems, policies, procedures and training in line with relevant legislation

  • Manage strategic procurement functions including supply arrangements, evaluation processes, contract management and supply market analysis

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the department, government agencies and external stakeholders

About the Team

Corporate Procurement is a specialist team responsible for delivering reporting, risk management, governance and compliance in accordance with government procurement policy, supporting sourcing and contract management functions across the department.

The team forms part of the Corporate Services Division, which coordinates information and resources to ensure the efficient functioning of the department.
