Senior Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards, reports and interactive visualisations.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Develop semantic models and optimise data models for performance and usability.
Write and optimise advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and reporting.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and technical teams to define reporting requirements.
Support testing activities including system, integration, user acceptance and production validation.
Implement data quality controls and ensure reporting aligns with governance standards.
Develop reporting standards, documentation and best practice guidelines.
Support the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting performance, automation and analytics capability.

Demonstrated experience developing enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards.
Strong SQL development skills, including query optimisation and performance tuning.
Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
Strong understanding of data modelling, semantic models and reporting architecture.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Knowledge of data warehousing principles and dimensional modelling.
Ability to gather requirements through stakeholder workshops and translate them into technical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value.
