The Role

A State Government agency is seeking a Senior Policy Officer to develop and implement workplace equality policies and prevention initiatives. You will lead the implementation of prevention frameworks, research and develop best practice policies, and provide expert advice on bullying, harassment, discrimination and workplace conduct. This is an initial contract until mid-Dec with a potential to extend.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of workplace equality and prevention policies.
  • Implement the workplace equality and prevention framework, including engagement, training and communications.
  • Provide expert advice on bullying, harassment, discrimination and workplace conduct.
  • Prepare research papers, reports, briefings and policy documentation.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, HR, Public Policy, Industrial Relations or related field.
  • Experience in workplace equality, bullying, harassment and discrimination prevention.
  • Policy development and research experience within government, public sector or large organisations.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
