
Senior Network Project Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Network Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale Network Optimisation project. This project sits within a major data and digital transformation program. In this role you will manage complex network and infrastructure projects across data centres, cloud, and security environments, ensuring successful delivery within challenging timeframes and high-availability conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of network optimisation and transformation initiatives under PRINCE2-based frameworks
- Oversee design, build, testing, transition, and implementation of network and infrastructure solutions
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with architecture, security, and cloud specialists to deliver business outcomes
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and governance documentation
- Drive vendor and procurement processes for hardware, software, and services
- Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align solutions with strategic objectives
- Ensure compliance with organisational frameworks, change management processes, and WHS standards
- Facilitate post-implementation reviews and knowledge transfer activities
Key Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain Baseline clearance
- Proven experience delivering complex network and infrastructure projects in large-scale enterprise or government environments
- Strong understanding of modern infrastructure technologies – Data Centre, Cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), Networking, Unified Communications, and Cybersecurity
- Deep technical knowledge in network design, segmentation, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and zero-trust architectures
- Demonstrated experience in network transformation and cost optimisation initiatives
- Proficient in project delivery methodologies including PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, and ITIL
- Skilled in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and enterprise systems
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to drive delivery in high-availability environments with multiple interdependencies
Desirable
- Certifications such as Cisco CCIE, TOGAF, CISSP, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect
- Experience managing data centre relocations or network consolidation programs
- Familiarity with government frameworks, procurement processes, and enterprise delivery governance
