Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support the design, delivery, and operation of enterprise network infrastructure within a large, complex utility environment.

Working as part of a high-performing infrastructure team, you will play a key role in delivering network upgrades, supporting critical operational systems, and driving network performance, security, and reliability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall environments
  • Manage Cisco switching, routing, VPN, and network security technologies
  • Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to deliver enterprise network solutions
  • Maintain network documentation, standards, and operational procedures
  • Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for complex network incidents

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer within large enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing and switching
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise network projects
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, network security, and intrusion detection/prevention technologies
  • Experience supporting highly available enterprise network environments
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP highly regarded
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
