Senior Manager, Group Insurance
We’re partnering with a leading global financial institution to recruit a Senior Manager – Group Insurance. This is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing a complex, multinational insurance program and driving strategic outcomes across risk transfer, governance, and claims management.
In this role you will work at the intersection of risk, finance, and strategy, engaging with senior stakeholders and global insurance markets to optimise coverage, strengthen partnerships, and deliver measurable value to the organisation.
Key activities
- Support the placement, renewal, and ongoing management of a global insurance program, including multinational policies
- Continuously optimise insurance structures to ensure cost-effective, fit-for-purpose coverage aligned with evolving risks and market conditions
- Maintain robust governance across all insurance arrangements, ensuring compliance with internal frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Build and manage strong relationships with brokers, insurers, and captive entities to achieve best-in-class risk transfer outcomes
- Lead end-to-end claims management, coordinating with internal teams, legal advisors, and insurers to maximise recoveries and minimise financial impact
- Represent the organisation in the global insurance market, effectively articulating its risk profile and strengthening its position as a preferred partner
Skills and experience
- Strong experience in corporate insurance, ideally with exposure to multinational program structures
- Tertiary qualification in risk, law, finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience in a complex organisation)
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and lead outcomes across senior stakeholder groups
- Self-driven and accountable, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Customer-focused with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability and commercial acumen
