We’re looking for an experienced Senior Legal Policy Adviser to join a high-performing policy team delivering strategic legal and regulatory policy advice. It is a contract role until mid September 2026.

Reporting to the Principal Legal Policy Adviser, you will:

  • Develop high-quality policy advice, submissions, briefings and reports.
  • Provide expert advice on complex legal and regulatory issues.
  • Contribute to legislative and regulatory reform initiatives.
  • Engage with government, regulators and key stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging risks and provide practical policy solutions.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience providing legal policy advice in a government or regulatory environment.
  • Strong legislative interpretation and policy development skills.
  • Exceptional research, analytical and written communication skills.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes.
  • A qualification in Law, Public Policy or a related discipline (highly regarded).
