We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join a major enterprise transformation program, developing high-volume, mission-critical integration services that support millions of customer interactions. You’ll work within a collaborative Agile environment, designing and delivering modern microservices while leveraging the latest cloud and DevOps technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a complex enterprise platform using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes and Kafka, alongside a highly experienced engineering team.

About the Role

As a Senior Java / API Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and delivering enterprise-grade integration services. You’ll remain hands-on throughout the software development lifecycle while contributing to engineering best practices, solution design and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices
  • Build secure, scalable REST APIs and enterprise integration services
  • Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka
  • Deliver cloud-native applications on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Translate solution designs into high-quality, production-ready code
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation
  • Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimise application performance
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners and engineering teams
  • Contribute to modern software engineering standards across the platform
