We are proud to partner with a leading organisation in the Australian energy sector to recruit a Senior IT Service Management Specialist.

As the Senior IT Service Management Specialist, you will be instrumental in shaping, implementing, and maintaining IT Service Management (ITSM) and Asset Management practices. Your leadership will drive operational excellence across technology services and help ensure business continuity for critical IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • ITSM Leadership: Develop and lead IT Service Management policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

  • Major Incident Management: Act as Major Incident Manager to coordinate restoration efforts, escalate with vendors, and communicate with stakeholders during outages.

  • Asset & Configuration Management: Maintain the complete lifecycle of ICT hardware and software assets including CMDB oversight.

  • IT Procurement Support: Collaborate on procurement processes and vendor contracts for IT hardware and software acquisitions.

  • Service Transition: Ensure seamless transition of new services into operations by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Security & Risk: Implement ITSM security standards and manage operational risks, including contributing to resiliency planning.

  • Team Development: Mentor team members and elevate organisational capability within the Service Management and Infrastructure Operations space.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Produce detailed documentation and metrics reports to support governance, audits, and continuous improvement.

Your Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in IT Service Management and Asset Management.

  • Hands-on experience in leading enterprise-level Change Advisory Boards and CMDB systems.

  • Proven track record of implementing and managing ITSM and asset management processes.

  • Strong understanding of service disciplines including Incident, Problem, Change, Availability, Service Continuity, and Transition.

  • Experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

  • Proficiency in analysing data, managing SLAs, and delivering reports on ITSM metrics.

  • Solid knowledge of modern IT ecosystems including cloud, end-user compute, workplace tech, and enterprise applications.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, and Lean practices is highly regarded.
