The Role

A State Government agency, is seeking a Senior Investigations Adviser (VPS5) for an initial 6 month contract with a strong potential to extend. This role will be responsible for providing expert advice, analysis, and recommendations on misconduct and unsatisfactory performance matters, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and overseeing complex investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to ensure effective management of misconduct and performance matters.
  • Oversee inquiries and investigations, including managing external investigators and assessing risks.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Manage a caseload of 20-30 misconduct and complaint matters.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in workplace or misconduct investigations in a government or regulatory context.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
  • Understanding of the Reportable Conduct Scheme and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within strict timeframes.
