Senior Engineering Specalist

• $1300 Per Day

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Specialist or Program Technical Lead to support the technical readiness and delivery of a large complex mission critical operational system within a highly regulated environment.

The system is a mission critical real time technology platform used to support the safe efficient and continuous management of air traffic. It integrates multiple software hardware network and data components and operates in a highly regulated safety critical environment where availability resilience and accuracy are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for all engineering and technology matters across the program
• Provide technical leadership and guidance at formal engineering review gates
• Lead and support system design development integration testing installation and verification activities
• Provide technical oversight during system testing and organisational acceptance of test outcomes
• Support site installation commissioning set to work and verification activities
• Manage technology change processes ensuring robust configuration management and change control
• Identify assess and communicate technical safety and delivery risks
• Create review and approve engineering artefacts as required
• Act as a trusted technical advisor providing guidance on system safety security and operational readiness
• Perform systems engineering and project tasks in accordance with relevant safety and system management frameworks
• Support additional project activities as required

Skills and Experience:

• Strong background in systems engineering within complex safety critical or mission critical environments
• Experience working within regulated industries such as aviation defence rail or critical infrastructure
• Proven ability to guide design integration testing and acceptance activities for real time operational systems
• Strong understanding of configuration management change control and technical governance
• Ability to engage confidently with vendors engineers and senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business safety and risk impacts

Mandatory Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government National Security Clearance
