Senior Electrical Engineer (FIFO)
- Initial Contract through to 31st May 2026
- Green Iron Pilot Plant Project with a leading mining client
- 2/1 roster
We are working with a leading mining client on an exciting new project and are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team. This site-based role will support the delivery of the Green Iron Pilot Plant Project, ensuring quality, safety, and technical standards are maintained throughout the construction phase and into handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure accurate documentation of work activities including red-line markups, test reports, and as-built drawings.
- Assist with procurement, inspection, and verification of electrical materials and equipment.
- Provide hands-on technical support during construction and commissioning.
- Identify potential risks, delays, or technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Liaise closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and engineers to resolve design and implementation issues.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Actively participate in HSE activities, promoting and maintaining safe work practices.
About You:
- Strong background in electrical engineering on construction projects.
- Experience working for both contractors and clients, with the ability to bridge perspectives effectively
- Proven ability to manage site-based engineering activities, from design review through to commissioning and handover.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on safety and quality.
**To be successful, you will have previous experience working for a major contractor on large-scale construction projects
