Opportunity
On-going hourly rate contract within large federal government Agency currently insourcing their digital channels. This is a great opportunity for a senior level Project Manager with depth of experience in native mobile application and responsive web within high-availability, secure high-transaction environments. We are seeking talented technical PM’s with experience across the full project life-cycle from initiation and establishment to go-live, state or federal government environments operating using Scaled Agile SAFe. You will be leading a nationally diverse team, and engaging with multiple internal teams and delivery partners.

Technical stack is native iOS and Android, React, AWS, containerized microservices within a CI/CD DevOps environment.

Role

  • Coordinate technical planning for new features and capabilities
  • Develop and maintain the project plan and schedule
  • Deliver all technical components of the solutions working with multiple internal teams encompassing architecture, security, and accessibility requirements
  • Represent the project in ICT Change Management, Release Planning and Implementation, Penetration and Cyber assessments
  • Ensure stage gates are met and go/no-go decisions
  • Publish weekly status reports

Requirements

  • 10+ years establishing and delivering technical projects with solid track record in digital including both native mobile applications and responsive web
  • Experience driving national projects within state or federal government environments (consulting to or direct)
  • End-to-end project lifecycle from business case and RFx / procurement to initiation, delivery, go-live and hyper-care.
  • Modern distributed architecture and experience in digital transformation (eg monolith to microservices, containers, AWS)
  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT and formal project management qualifications (eg SAFe Agilist, SCRUM, Prince2)
  • Experience in government digital with appreciation of accessibility (eg WCAG)
  • Ability to work within complex, enterprise scale environments, nationally distributed teams, navigate complex stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to lead and drive cross-functional mixed delivery teams – managing direct resources and delivery partners
