The Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a critical role in a major data transformation program within a large federal government environment. This position will suit an AWS specialist who thrives in complex cloud ecosystems and enjoys working across middleware, integration layers and secure platform engineering. You will help design, automate and secure scalable AWS solutions while contributing to modern DevOps uplift across the broader technology division.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing technical leadership and guidance as an application security SME
  • Designing, developing and maintaining AWS platforms and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Aligning cyber security requirements with business and product objectives
  • Investigating and resolving complex technical issues across programs and BAU
  • Contributing to middleware and integration development, including REST API services (Golang focus)

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer / Kubernetes Administrator with strong AWS automation expertise
  • Proven hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Strong development capability in Golang, particularly across APIs and integration layers
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, RBAC implementation and third-party identity integrations in AWS
  • Experience building and monitoring AWS environments using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk or similar
  • Ability to operate in complex, highly regulated environments with strong stakeholder engagement skills
