Overview
An immediate contract opportunity exists for an NV1 cleared DevOps / Data Engineer to join a high-profile federal government program.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex infrastructure across both public and private cloud environments.
This position requires a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient operations. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you will translate requirements into practical platform solutions, implement modern DevSecOps practices, and drive automation across delivery pipelines.

Duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments using IaC principles.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure and efficient data and analytics solutions.
  • Integrate security and compliance monitoring into all aspects of infrastructure design.
  • Provide expert consultancy on software engineering, DevSecOps, and data platform architecture.
  • Contribute to system design, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience providing consultancy in Software Engineering and DevSecOps across complex data and analytics environments.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering business-led technical solutions, including system development and documentation.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Linux administration, shell scripting, and Azure DevOps / DevSecOps tools.
  • Practical experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Java and Spring for web application development.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
  • An NV1 clearance (minimum) is required for the role
