Our Client

Our client is a federal department which is instrumental in the development and implementation of policies and programs to ensure Australia’s farming, fisheries, food, and forestry industries remain sustainable, profitable and competitive, and supports the sustainable and productive use of water resources. They employ approximately 5000 staff across offices, airports, mail centres, shipping ports, laboratories and abattoirs in capital cities, regional centres and rural communities nationwide.

The Role

Are you a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team responsible for delivering critical ICT services and infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising cloud-based solutions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to innovative projects that support the organisation’s mission.

Your duties will include:

  • Building Azure DevOps pipelines and deploying/configuring resources in Azure subscriptions.
  • Providing Level 3 support for business applications infrastructure hosted in Azure.
  • Designing, developing, and implementing cloud hosting platforms.
  • Managing virtual infrastructure and cloud data factories.
  • Developing and maintaining Terraform code libraries/modules using Agile processes.
  • Supporting critical Microsoft cloud services, including M365, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Proven experience managing complex production deployments in Azure Cloud.
  • Strong administration skills in Microsoft cloud services such as M365, Azure, and Dynamics 365.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with developers and business owners.
  • Experience working within Federal Government environments, ensuring compliance with IT security standards (e.g., ACSC Essential 8).
  • Proficiency in producing technical documentation for application deployment and infrastructure services.
  • Experience ensuring compliance and governance in managing infrastructure change requests.
