The Client

Our client is a leading multi-national telecommunications provider headquartered in Macquarie Park, NSW.

The Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager (Snr BDM) to drive growth by securing large-scale enterprise acquisition opportunities.

In this executive-level role, the Snr BDM will lead complex sales pursuits within a matrix structure, coordinating cross-functional teams and partners to deliver high-value deals. The focus is on end-to-end opportunity management – from qualification to close – across our client’s full portfolio of enterprise products and services.

This is a high-risk, high-reward position, ideal for a strategic, customer-facing sales professional with a strong track record in building CXO-level relationships (CEO, CIO, CFO, etc.) and executing long-cycle sales strategies.

The successful candidate will target Tier 1 and 2 clients, working on strategic large pursuit ICT and Telco opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in strategic/consultative selling – Telco and ICT solutions an advantage but not required, tech/consulting backgrounds are welcome.
  • Previous experience managing key C-Level/Director relationships and selling strategic business solutions. Bonus points for experience navigating a large matrix styled organisation.
  • Commercially minded deal leaders experienced with negotiating and closing highly complex ICT deals domestically.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto or Trustwave is advantageous but not required.
  • Proven sales performance and ability to demonstrate success against targets (revenue and profitability)
  • Tertiary qualifications well regarded, not essential
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident (our client is unable to sponsor)
