Senior Business Analyst // Policy or Billing

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in Policy Administration and Billing systems within the General Insurance sector. You will play a key role in delivering business and technology transformation initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, optimise processes, and support system enhancements across policy lifecycle and billing domains.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across policy and billing transformation initiatives

  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements

  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and specifications

  • Support solution design, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements

  • Provide subject matter expertise across policy administration, underwriting, billing, and collections

  • Work with core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar)

  • Analyse and improve policy lifecycle processes, including issuance, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations

  • Support billing processes including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and premium calculations

  • Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and SMEs to elicit and refine requirements

  • Facilitate workshops, backlog grooming, and stakeholder reviews

  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency

  • Support UAT planning, execution, and defect management

  • Assist with change management, training, and business readiness activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within General Insurance

  • Strong experience in Policy Administration or Billing systems

  • Experience working on core insurance platform implementations or enhancements

  • Solid understanding of insurance products, underwriting, and policy lifecycle

  • Experience with platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or equivalent

  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping (BPMN), and documentation

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies

  • Understanding of data, integrations, and system workflows

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
