Senior Business Analyst – Payroll
Our client, a large organisation within the education industry, is delivering a 5-year program to transform their enterprise systems – and they’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Payroll to play a key role in the delivery of a new payroll system.
This position will focus on the end-to-end analysis and optimisation of payroll processes, ensuring business and technical alignment across HR, finance, and systems teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, document, and improve payroll business processes and data flows
- Define requirements and support system configuration for payroll system implementation
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to validate functionality and integrations
- Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
- Support the data migration team in mapping the legacy data to SAP ERP Systems
- Bring in the functional expertise in the Finance Payroll toolset that is being implemented where applicable
- Support testing, change management, and go-live readiness activities
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on Payroll or HRIS system implementations
- Strong knowledge of payroll operations, compliance, and award interpretation.
- Experience with ERP or payroll platforms (SAP, Oracle, ADP, or equivalent)
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors employee central will be highly regarded
- Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline
