Senior Business Analyst – Payroll

Our client, a large organisation within the education industry, is delivering a 5-year program to transform their enterprise systems – and they’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Payroll to play a key role in the delivery of a new payroll system.

This position will focus on the end-to-end analysis and optimisation of payroll processes, ensuring business and technical alignment across HR, finance, and systems teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse, document, and improve payroll business processes and data flows
  • Define requirements and support system configuration for payroll system implementation
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to validate functionality and integrations
  • Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
  • Support the data migration team in mapping the legacy data to SAP ERP Systems
  • Bring in the functional expertise in the Finance Payroll toolset that is being implemented where applicable
  • Support testing, change management, and go-live readiness activities

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on Payroll or HRIS system implementations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll operations, compliance, and award interpretation.
  • Experience with ERP or payroll platforms (SAP, Oracle, ADP, or equivalent)
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors employee central will be highly regarded
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline
