This is a high-visibility, 12-month initial contract within the Market Compliance and Process & Change team, acting as the vital link between complex national market protocols and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Analysis: Interpret complex national energy market protocols and legislative changes, translating them into actionable business requirements and technical specifications.

  • Process Engineering: Lead the design of “Future State” business processes, conducting deep-dive gap analysis to ensure operational readiness across customer-facing and technical teams.

    Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate high-level discovery workshops with subject matter experts, regulatory bodies, and IT delivery squads to drive consensus in ambiguous environments.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Own the requirements lifecycle from initial Business Impact Assessments (BIA) through to supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and final go-live.

Key Requirements

  • Australian Utilities Expertise: Extensive experience as a Senior BA within the Australian Energy sector (DNSP, Transmission, or Retail) is essential.

  • Regulatory Frameworks: A proven track record of delivering on large-scale regulatory reform, market compliance, or industry-mandated data exchange projects.

  • Technical Literacy: Advanced skills in process mapping (BPMN 2.0) and the ability to map complex data flows between legacy systems and modern market portals.

  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional influencing skills with the ability to simplify intricate regulatory concepts for executive-level stakeholders.
