Senior Business Analyst/ Business Analyst - BCM

Talent is recruiting for our leading financial services client for two positions, a Senior Business Analyst and Business Analyst.

These positions will focus on automating assessments and other technology controls to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant risk evaluations.

These positions are based in the Sydney CBD with the opportunity to work Part Time (3 days a week) on a 9 Month Daily rate contract.

These roles are highly collaborative and require strong technical and interpersonal skills. You will work across business and technology teams to ensure automated control activities are well-documented, compliant, and effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirements-gathering workshops with stakeholders.
  • Document detailed business, technical, and data requirements for control automation.
  • Support solution design reviews and secure formal approvals and sign-offs.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth hand-off and deployment of automated controls.
  • Maintain project dashboards, status reports, and other administrative records.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships and ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and internal control standards.

Key Requirements – Senior Business Analyst:

  • 5 + Years as a Senior Business Analyst in Technology Risk and Controls Automation within banking or financial services – A MUST
  • Technology Risk experience
  • Proven Business Controls Management experience
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex automation projects.
  • AI & Automation Exposure (Highly Regarded).

Key Requirements – Business Analyst:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with Technology Risk AND Automation exposure – within banking or financial services – A MUST
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to document requirements, facilitate workshops, and support project delivery.
  • Motivated to learn, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
  • AI & Automation Experience (Highly Regarded), or a demonstrated interest in emerging technologies.
