Senior Business Analyst
This role is responsible for delivering business analysis, requirements definition and process improvements. You will work across complex enterprise environments to ensure successful delivery and ongoing optimisation of technology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Scoping, engaging vendors for estimates, defining options papers working with minimal supervision.
- Develop gap analysis and elicit functional and non-functional requirements
- Analyse, prioritise and manage requirements ensuring traceability
- Map business processes to system functionality identifying gaps and opportunities
- Translate business needs into technical and solution requirements
- Apply analytical tools and techniques to support cost analysis and investment planning
- Support development of testing strategies and user acceptance testing plans
- Contribute to business case development and risk assessment
- Drive continuous improvement and service excellence initiatives
Required skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a business discipline or equivalent
- Knowledge of business analysis frameworks such as BABOK or Agile BA
- Extensive experience in business analysis working on applications projects within complex organisations
- Experience in requirements elicitation, modelling, testing and verification
- Experience developing testing strategies and business cases
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
