This government department is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to come on board to support an Operating Model Change, working closely with operational teams, subject matter experts, and program leadership to define, map, and transition future-state processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse existing documentation, data, and operational information to understand current-state asset maintenance practices
  • Develop Level 3 process maps using a value stream approach, covering end-to-end asset maintenance activities
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and SMEs to validate current-state processes and define future-state workflows
  • Walk through process maps with SMEs to identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and next steps in the process
  • Support operating model change by clearly documenting process impacts, handovers, and ownership
  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, ensuring clarity, alignment, and buy-in throughout the change

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on operating model change, transformation, or insourcing initiatives
  • Strong process mapping capability (Level 3 and value stream mapping essential)
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and engaging SMEs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes simply
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and helping teams define “what good looks like”
