Our Client
Our client is a large government department tasked with delivering a range of health, welfare, and support services to individuals, families, and communities. They work closely with other government agencies and service providers to develop policy to support government programmes, design and develop service delivery systems that make services accessible to all and provide payments and services that support all Australians to improve their circumstances and achieve greater self-sufficiency and quality of life.
The Role
Our client is seeking the engagement of experienced Business Analysts to play an essential role in the alignment of the needs of their business units with the capabilities delivered by IT. The Business Analysts will work to understand the agency’s existing capabilities, how they meet the needs of customers and stakeholders, and the ability to continue to meet those needs in the future. They will engage with customers, staff, IT and executives to elicit and document high-level requirements, capture business needs, and identify future requirements.
Specifically, the successful candidates will:
- Define and clarify business needs through collaboration with stakeholders, and document for senior management
- Analyse the business’ current state to identify and recommend improvements
- Produce and review artefacts and documents, including risk analysis, scope modelling, problem tracking and sequence diagrams
- Undertake elicitation requirement techniques such as brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation etc. and report results
- Prepare business and stakeholder requirement documentation
Skills and Experience
- Experienced in business analysis tools and techniques
- Understanding or experience in legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements relevant to Cyber Security
- Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) certification
- Experience in relevant business systems and tools
