Senior Business Intelligence Officer

Job Summary / Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Performance and Reporting, this role supports the departments strategic direction by delivering high-quality business intelligence reporting and analytics.

The position contributes to performance reporting, data-driven insights and continuous improvement of BI tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain non-financial performance reports using Power BI

  • Analyse and transform data using Excel, SQL and Azure-based platforms

  • Support improvements to BI tools, systems and reporting processes

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights

  • Prepare technical documentation and user guides for reporting solutions

  • Provide training and coaching to promote automated report usage

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in business intelligence reporting and data analytics

  • Experience using Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Practical experience with Azure-based architecture and data platforms

Skills & Competencies

  • Business intelligence and data analysis expertise

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly

  • Resilience and ability to manage competing priorities

Working Conditions

  • Brisbane City location

  • Flexible full-time hours of 36.25 per week
