We’re partnering with a major organisation looking for a Azure Cloud Engineer to drive the architecture, engineering standards, and evolution of a complex Azure environment.

This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on solving hard technical problems, mentoring high-performing teams, and building scalable, secure cloud platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and drive Azure platform architecture and technical direction
  • Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform or Bicep
  • Build and optimise modern DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Champion cloud security, governance, monitoring, and operational excellence
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, engineering, and operations stakeholders
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the cloud ecosystem

Skills and experience

  • Deep expertise across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Azure Policy
    • Azure Monitor & Log Analytics
    • Key Vault
    • Functions & Logic Apps
    • Azure Networking & Firewalls
    • SQL Server & Storage Accounts
  • Proven experience with Terraform or Bicep
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and IaC security scanning
  • Coding capability in Python, Java, Go, or similar
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams
