An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and intellectually curious Senior Analyst to contribute to high-impact performance audit work that supports transparency, accountability, and improved public sector outcomes across Victoria. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful projects that directly inform Parliament and the broader community on how effectively public sector organisations are performing.

It is a 6 months contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the delivery of high-quality performance audits and related products within agreed timelines and budgets
Undertake complex research, analysis and evidence gathering to support audit findings and recommendations
Prepare clear, concise and evidence-based written reports and briefing materials in plain English
Assist in identifying audit risks, emerging issues and opportunities for sector improvement
Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including senior representatives from public sector organisations
Support audit planning activities and contribute to future work programs

About You

Experience contributing to audits, policy development, analysis or similar complex project work
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities, including experience working with data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and succinctly
Confidence working in environments where findings and recommendations are subject to rigorous review and challenge
Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills

Tertiary qualifications in areas such as:

Public Policy
Law
Economics
Arts
Science
Statistics
