The Opportunity

Our client is a leading Australian financial services organisation investing heavily in technology, automation and AI to transform the way its business operates. This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing engineering team where you’ll have real ownership, work directly with business stakeholders, and see your solutions make an immediate impact.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and delivering modern applications, integrations and AI-powered automation tools that improve adviser productivity and streamline business processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll design, build, test and support software solutions across internal applications, APIs, integrations and workflow automation using C#/.NET, Angular and Azure. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you’ll rapidly prototype ideas, develop AI-enabled solutions, and take them through to scalable production implementations.

You’ll also contribute to technical design, coding standards, code reviews and mentoring, while helping shape best practices within an Agile development environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 5-8 years’ hands-on software development experience.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, Angular (TypeScript), SQL Server, Web APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience delivering production software that solves real business problems.
• Exposure to AI and automation technologies such as Azure AI Services, LLM APIs, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Automate, Hybrid RAG or MCP is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience mentoring developers or contributing to technical design and development standards is advantageous.
• Financial services or other regulated industry experience is desirable.
